WeFitNest ("the App", "we", "our", or "us") is operated by an independent developer and is available on iOS and Android. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and how it is stored.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Information (Stored Locally Only)

The App allows you to enter certain personal information, such as:

• Profile name and photo
• Body metrics (age, height, weight, gender, activity level)
• Fitness goals and workout plans
• Exercise and workout history
• Nutrition and meal logs
• Custom foods and pantry inventory
• Barcode or QR code for gym or membership card access

All of this information is stored locally on your device only.
We do not upload, transmit, or share this data with any server or third party.

1.2 Camera Access

The App requests access to your device's camera for:

• Updating your profile photo
• Scanning a barcode or QR code to store a digital membership key
• Food barcode scanning for nutrition logging (planned future feature)

Camera access is requested only when you initiate these features. We do not have access to your camera at any other time. We do not store or transmit any images or camera data outside your device.

1.3 Usage Data

We do not collect analytics, usage statistics, crash logs, or device identifiers. The App operates entirely offline and does not communicate with any external server.

1.4 Notifications

The App may request permission to send local notifications (for example, reminders you schedule within the App). These notifications are generated entirely on your device. We do not send push notifications from a remote server. We do not receive or log whether you open or dismiss notifications.

1.5 Feedback and Sharing

If you choose to contact us or share content from within the App, it uses your device's native share sheet (for example, your email client). The App does not directly transmit feedback or messages. Any communication is handled by your own apps and service providers.

2. How Your Data Is Stored

All user data is stored locally on your device using:

• iOS Keychain / Android Shared Preferences — for profile settings and app preferences
• On-device SQLite database — for nutrition logs, meal entries, exercise history, workouts, and custom food data
• Device local filesystem — for your profile photo

We do not:

• Store data on external servers
• Sync data to the cloud
• Share data with third parties
• Use external APIs to process your information

If you delete the App, all locally stored data is permanently removed from your device.

3. Third-Party Services

The App does not use any third-party SDKs that collect personal data. All libraries used (Capacitor, Chart.js, ZXing) are open-source and process data locally on your device only.

Platform-level diagnostics: The iOS and Android operating systems may independently collect diagnostic and crash data per Apple's and Google's own privacy policies. WeFitNest does not control, receive, or have access to this data.

If third-party services are added to the App in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before those changes take effect.

4. Future Cloud Features (Planned — Not Active)

We may introduce optional cloud backup or account features in the future. If this happens:

• You will be notified in advance
• Your explicit consent will be required
• Your data will not be uploaded without your permission
• This Privacy Policy will be updated before any changes take effect

5. Data Security

Because all data is stored locally, security is primarily handled by your device's operating system. Data is stored in the App's private sandbox and is not accessible to other apps on your device.

We recommend:

• Using a device passcode or biometric lock (Face ID / Touch ID / Fingerprint)
• Keeping your operating system updated
• Enabling device encryption (enabled by default on modern iOS and Android devices)

6. Children's Privacy

WeFitNest is not intended for children under the age of 13 and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the App, please contact us so we can assist with data removal.

7. Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• You may delete your data at any time by deleting the App
• You may reset your profile and all stored data from Profile → App Settings → Reset All Data
• No external deletion request is needed — we do not hold your data on any server

8. California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We want to be clear:

• We do not sell, share, rent, or disclose your personal information to third parties
• We do not collect personal information for commercial purposes beyond local app functionality
• Because all data stays on your device, most CCPA rights are exercised directly by managing or deleting the App

We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves. Any material changes will be posted within the App or on our website. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
